Trip to Chicago

Chicago completely blew me away. I was expecting to witness a lot of criminal activities because that’s what Chicago is known for from its history, the city of crime and violence. I have a new image for this beautiful city and the first thing in my mind is that it’s the city of AMAZING food. Chicago style food in this town is to die for and don’t get me started on those deep dish pizzas but be careful, one slice is enough to fill you up so be ready to eat and come with an appetite or a party.

BBQ at Seafood City

The parks in this city are also beautiful! Such as Millennium Park, also known for the famous giant bean in the middle of the park that tourists love to go see such as myself. I was expecting it to be a little smaller but the bean is extremely large! I never got to see it during the day but the bean looked pretty during the night with the city lights reflecting off of it.

Millennium Park

Downtown Chicago is my first experience of a big city with giant buildings and skyscrapers. Being at the bottom of all the giant buildings felt so crazy, to think people the size of me contributed to building hundreds of them. If looking up at the buildings sounds crazy, wait until you’re at the top, looking down at the entire city, it’s an even crazier feeling. My family calls me crazy because I love to look down from the top of anything, the higher the better so this trip meets my dreams of being so high up and able to see the entire city from one location. The city is especially pretty at night, at the lights shining you from up top and something everyone needs to experience whoever is planning to visit Chicago. A sight for all the photography nerds!
